The ingredients needed to make Shami kebab:
  1. Get Pre prep (step alpha)
  2. Take 2 cup chana dal
  3. Get to taste salt
  4. Take 500 gm chicken boneless
  5. Prepare 2 chopped onions
  6. Make ready 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  7. Make ready Kebab paste
  8. Prepare 2 finely chopped onions
  9. Take 1 cup Coriander leaves
  10. Take 1 cup mint leaves

  13. Make ready as needed oil
Instructions to make Shami kebab:
  1. 6 hours before cooking soak the dal in water
  2. Put all the prep items in a pressure cooker and add water till the mix is immersed
  3. Cook the mix in the cooker until 3 whistles. Open the cooker and boil away the water. Strain the excess liquid out. Remove the masala.
  4. Add the ingredients of the paste and that of the above (dal and chicken mix)
  5. Mix it well into a paste. Add water if too thick
  6. Make patties of the said as per requirement
  7. Add oil to a flat frying pan such that the kebabs are shallow fried. Fry the kebabs till crisp. And serve with diced onion and chutney
